Need help deciphering part of a Baptism Record from 1811. Record # 31 LEONHARD KOHL.
I cannot read the parenthetical words on this record. I know they pertain to the stated father of the child, as the mother was unmarried. This begins on the 5th line of text in the record.
Also would like confirmation that the occupation of the Godfather Leonhard Kohl is some type of carrier. Postal perhaps? This appears in the 7th line of text in the record.
The FHL Lookup service sent me the copy of this record page. I could not access the image online. I have attached what the Lookup service sent to me. FHL Film# 829528, Image #973. Record #31 on page 185.
What I know: Family is from Hartmannshof. Mother is Margaretha Kohl, legitimate daughter of Johann Kohl of Appelsberg. Child was born at the home of the mother's brother and named after him (Leonhard). He is the Godfather. Born and baptized 24 December 1811. Record is from Pommelsbrunn Lutheran Parish. Thank you!!

I assume to read:
(der angegebene Vater wurde nach geleisteten Reini=
gungs-Eid forgesProchen)

Thank you. This was very enlightening.

adding to @DeTe1955's reading of the missing words I think the last word is losgesprochen .
The full parenthetical sentence would thus be: der angegebene Vater wurde nach geleisteten Reinigungs-Eid losgesprochen, meaning that the alleged father was freed from this suspicion after he had taken the "purification oath"

Thank you very much.

Hello @DorothyCole2
I can only decipher part of the parenthetical sentence: der angegebene Vater wurde nach geleisteten ___?-Eid ___? Hopefully another community member can help with the missing words.
The occupation of sponsor Leohard Kohl is Refträger, an old designation for a load carrier. The Middle High German word Ref refers to a pole frame for carrying on the back, The man, who often carried a relatively heavy luggage by means of a Ref was called a Refträger.

Ulrich Neitzel, thank you very much for your help. I will leave this open to see if anyone else can fill in the missing parts of the parenthetical sentence, as you have suggested.
