Marriage translation help

Hi, I'm hoping someone could provide the German text and English translation for this October, 1790 marriage record in Darmstadt. It isn't a very sharp image but the best I could do.

Following is what I see but some of the words are gibberish to me. I'm trying to learn so please feel free to correct my many errors:

Den 24ten ist Meister Johan Friedrich Blech burger und schumacher allhier wayland? Meister Johann Balthasar Blech geressenn? Burger und sackler in der freien Reichstadt Wetzlar wouhgelassener? altester ehelicher sohn, und Julianna Catharina, der Regiment pfeifer bei den loblichen Kra? regiment zu Giessen Jacob Henrich Wittich jungste eheliche tochter priesterlich copuliert und in den Ph??? eingessegent? worden

I read this record to say that the grooms father, Johann Balthasar Blech, is deceased at the time of this record (1790) and that Johann Friedrich is his oldest legitimate son.

However, when I dig into the Wetzlar records I can only find one Johann Balthasar Blech of the right age. He is a burger and sackler so that matches. But he dies in Wetzlar in 1799 so he was still alive in 1790 when Johan Friedrich married.

And he has another son, Johann Kasper, who claims to be the oldest legitimate son of Johann Balthasar in his 1796 marriage record in Wetzlar .

Am I misunderstanding the records or is there a discrepancy that I need to resolve?

What regards the discrepancy of Johann Balthasar Blech's death the documents you present are not conclusive. I suppose that documents 2 and 3 above are not primary sources, but some later notes (judging by the handwriting and general form). You should try to find the original church book records (e.g. the death record of Johann Balthasar) to check the correctness.

Yes, the Wetzlar records that I have found so far are only an indexing performed a few decades ago that are in the catalog here on Familysearch. There are many thousands of these index cards organized chronologically and they cover a time period from the 1600s up to the 1800s so they are very helpful but there is much information that is not on the cards. I hope to find the actual original records soon. They must exist for them to have been indexed but neither Familysearch nor Archion seem to have them.
