What perish would someone from Berlstedt, Weimar, Germany have attended?
My second great grandfather, Karl Heinrich Edward Berlt, was born in Berlstedt, Germany (according to the civil record of his second marriage - attached for your reference).
According to the Meyers Gazetteer there was 1 church in Berlstedt (copy of the pages for village attached).
I don't know where to look next for his baptism and marriage record to his first wife (name unknown). I attempted to look on the Archion website, but I am in over my head.
Any pointers would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time

Hello Kelly,
the old church books will not be at the parish any more. They are stored in a central archive, in this case for Berlstedt at the "Landeskirchenarchiv" in Eisenach (https://www.landeskirchenarchiv-eisenach.de/). I found a list which shows that the church books of Berlstedt are there available on microfilm, but not (yet) online. You may contact the archive under this email: archiv.eisenach@ekmd.de

Hello Kelly,
If Berlstedt is his true birth place (the marriage record does not name this place) his birth record should be in the churchbook there. However that seems not to be available on Archion.
When searching Ancestry for the name "Karl Heinrich Eduard Berlt" several records turn up, e.g. a marriage with Hanne Rosine Wenzel in Möckern (the one you linked above), marriage records for the children Oskar Albert (son of Hanne Rosine), Therese Marie (daughter of Amalie) and a death record Karl Heinrich Eduard from Weimar 1922.
On FS there is a Karl Heinrich Eduard Berlt (G43T-JRC) married with Therese Amalie Börnschein, no sources listed, however. Unclear to me if this could be his first wife.

Hello @Ulrich Neitzel
On Karl's civil death record, it has his birth place. I'm sorry I forgot to attach it. It is below.
His first wife (name unknown) is the mother of my Great-grandmother Augusta Marie Berlt.
Do you know where I could find a mailing or e-mail address for the churches in Berlstedt?
Thank you for your time and assistance.
