Looking for someone who can assist me find birth record for Gregorio Ramos, born in Batangas, Philippines some time in 1908-1909, son of Macaria Ramos and Claudio Ramos. I tried wiki search but no result found. Thank you in advance.
@Princess GemnaLogatoc You can find different things using FamilySearch Catalog. Have you searched there yet? Using FamilySearch Catalog will give you different results than the wiki because a lot of the records are not indexed yet. It is always a good idea to search both locations.
Most of what is in the Catalog for Batangas is not indexed and therefore must be searched page by page, but it is a good place to start! Because of that, I was unable to search through all the hundreds of pages for you, but I wanted to direct you to these resources that you may not have found yet.
On the FamilySearch home page under "Search" you click on Catalog, then enter in the place search.
I entered "Batangas" and it came up on its own.

Just looking briefly through the options, there are 9 entries for Civil Registrations. The one for "Marriage Contracts, 1861-1897" gives you the option (in red on the page after you click the Marriage Contracts) to see Records of Philippines Civil Registrations for 1706-1911. You can choose Batangas specifically. When I click on "Multiple Towns" it shows me baptisms and more.
Also, did you click on everything in the Wiki? A lot of people will miss the "Local Research Resources" at the bottom of the box on the right side of the page. For instance, "Archives and Libraries" in that local research resources gives information for the National Census and Statistics Office, the Office of the Civil Registrar General, and more. "Societies" lists quite a few resources for you to draw on as well to help you in your research. Finding local sources is always marvelous!
