Elusive death record - help please
I'm having trouble find a death record for Pierre PEYTOURIE b1822 Correze, France (https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/6118532:62058). Pierre and Elizabeth WRIGHT b1826 London, married in Paris 21 Aug 1866 (https://www.ancestry.com/discoveryui-content/view/6118532:62058). WRIGHT was Elizabeth's maiden name and shows on all records related to Pierre and her children's birth/christening records but she was actually the widow of Edward Henry Churchill De La MARE.
Elizabeth was back in London with her 3 children (to Pierre), living with her Father on the 1871 Census and listed as married (https://www.ancestry.com.au/discoveryui-content/view/4644795:7619).They were still living in London on the 1881 Census and she is listed as widowed (https://search.ancestry.com.au/cgi-bin/sse.dll?db=uki1881&indiv=try&h=7867013). There was the possibility he may have been involved in the Franco-Prussian war but that may be unlikely at the age of 49+, and I couldn't find any records. Any suggestions or help on finding what happened to Pierre would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance

A source on the website : FILAE indicates that he died in 1871 near Brest. He would have participated in the insurrection of Paris (March 18 - May 27, 1871), would have been taken prisoner, deported near Brest and would have died aboard the frigate-hospital "La Renommée".
More more information nor reference about this comment.

Hello again Matthieu! @matthieucrouet
Thank you for responding to my request. How fascinating! My husband is an amateur historian with his favourite period being Napoleonic history. He was also very interested to read your response :)
I have just joined Filae but am having trouble finding a source record for his death, as I am not very familiar with the site. I found one Family Tree that listed Pierre but no source record. Would it be possible for you to send me a URL of the source record?
With appreciation,
Liz
