After Restoring Ordinances Lost In a Merge, Another Patron Immediately Reversed all the changes
An individual in FamilyTree was broken, probably because of a gender change, which caused all temple ordinances to be marked as “Not Available”. I found that in the past another copy of that person, which was not broken, was merged with the broken individual. I went through the effort of restoring the deleted unbroken individual, then moving all sources (more than 20) and reconnecting the five spouses and the parents to the restored person. I then also removed all sources and vital information from the broken copy, and marked the two as not the same, in an attempt to prevent another merge.
Within three days, another patron went through and undid all my changes, re-merging the two copies, and restoring the previous “not available” status. It seems like the sort of problem FS Support could easily repair without the several hours I and the other patron spent correcting and uncorrecting the problem with the only tools we have available.
If support would contact me privately, I would be happy to provide all the details.
Note that I did try to politely contact the individual who undid my changes through both the FamilySearch messaging system and email, but have received no response at all.

Belatedly ...
Welcome to the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.
I am just another 'lowly' User/Patron ...
FYI
Since the MOVE to this NEW Platform of the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, unfortunately, the activity in some of the 'Groups', in the Forum, has waned considerably.
Again, unfortunately, although, I am a "Group Leader", I DO NOT have the ability to "Move" (as, I would like to), this post of yours, in this 'Group', to a more appropriate Section, in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum; which, I suggest would be, either, (or, BOTH), the (1) "Q and A" (ie. 'Category' = "Family Tree") Section; and/or, the (2) "Ideas" (ie. 'Topic' = "Family Tree") Section, of this Forum.
As such ...
Can I humbly suggest that, you consider REPOSTING, this "Discussion" of yours in this 'Group", in either, (or, BOTH), the (1) "Q and A" (ie. 'Category' = "Family Tree") Section; and/or, the (2) "Ideas" (ie. 'Topic' = "Family Tree") Section, of this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum.

I think that with the waning of this 'Group', you would be much better off served, REPORSTING in the aforementioned.
I am so very sorry, that I cannot be of any real help/assistance.
And, I apologise for the belated response, here, in this 'Group'.
Good Luck.

Thanks, Brent. I will do so. This post is actually based on a suggestion from phone in support for FS. In the past, we could create a case, with full details, and it would be passed on to the right group, and handled. I'm searching for the right way to accomplish this now that we've lost the ability to create a case. I appreciate your suggestion. We'll see how that works.

With the new help system being developed, this is where we create cases.
The trouble you are having stems from the fact that the goal in Family Tree is to have one copy of each person only and to have all duplicates merged. So the other user was acting according to standard Family Tree practice in declaring that those two records really were for the same person and needed to be merged.
When this does cause problems on the ordinance page, only Support can fix this. In fact, I would say that this is probably the most common issue Support deals with.
The best place to get Support's attention and to get the ordinances displaying correctly is under the Temple section of the Q&A/Help Center portion of this community at: https://community.familysearch.org/en/categories/temple-support rather than the Family Tree section. If you have already posted it under Family Tre, a moderator will likely see it and move it to Temple.
Be aware that when a moderate takes your question and sends it, or to use Support terminology, escalates it to the upper level support team that can actually fix this for you, your question may be marked as Moved, your name removed from it, the comment count set to 0, and when you click on it, you will get a "permission denied" screen. However, checking the Temple section this morning, it does look like they are much better now, or the program has been updated, at not actually moving the question but still fixing the problem.

Thanks Gordon. That is what I am trying to figure out here - how to create a case in this situation via the community system. I'll post where you suggested.
