Browsing the Burial Records for Ribbesford, Worcestershire
Hello all you brainiacs!
Wiki tells me that the Burial Records for Ribbesford, Worcestershire can be found at FS in the England Deaths and Burials, 1538-1991 collection. I believe my ancestor Ann Gwinnett was buried there at St. Leonard's in 1743.
I am unable to find the record for this no matter what I try in the way of search criteria. So, I thought I might browse the records by just entering the place of death as Ribbesford and the year. I can't seem to find any records for Ribbesford for any year.
What am I missing??
Kind regards,
Susan

I don't think you are missing anything! The Wiki page for Ribbesford just seems to have got it wrong. I found christenings okay - see https://www.familysearch.org/search/record/results?q.surname=smith&q.birthLikePlace=ribbesford*&m.defaultFacets=on&m.queryRequireDefault=on&m.facetNestCollectionInCategory=on&count=20&offset=0 - but, as you say, a search on burials (deaths) produces nothing.
Hopefully, an employee/moderator will read your comments and be able to get the page edited, so the misleading, incorrect information is removed.

Thanks, @Paul W Now, how I need to find another source. I'm not having any luck figuring out how to browse in Ancestry either 😣

I omitted to mention that I also checked the Catalog section yesterday. I believe the relevant microfilms (of the original parish registers, etc.) are only available for viewing at a Family History Center or FamilySearch Affiliate library - at least that is what is indicated in use of my public account. Members of the LDS Church might have different access arrangements available.

Thank you @Paul W. Yes, I saw that too; I was hoping to be able to view the index at least.

By using my website, ogindex.org, I quickly discovered that there are 22,000+ burials for Ribbesford, Worcestershire included in the National Burial Index on Findmypast. Looking at this collection, I found Ann Gwinet's burial on 31 Dec 1743.
Also, the FamilySearch burials for Ribbesford are actually in the Herefordshire Parish Registers collection as this village was in the diocese of Hereford. The range covered is 1660-1865.

Thanks, Tim. That didn't work all that well for me. Yes, your site returned the results you mentioned but when I used the FS link I still wasn't able to get any results.
Secondly, I don't have a subscription to FMP so I wasn't able to review any more than the search result; so I got 1743 but not Dec 31.
