Looking for Antonio Mussuto (not sure of spelling)
Looking for Antonio Mussuto again not sure of spelling but the way my grandfather pronounced it. My grandfather was in the 435th Signal Heavy Construction Battalion during WWII. He was stationed in Naples and Bari. I am also not sure as to which town Antonio was from, or what years grandpa was there, one of those wish I would have listened closer as a kid things. Anyway Antonio was probably early teens (14ish), he cut the GI's hair, Grandpa mentioned Antonio had a sister named Rosa. Grandpa evidently was close to the family as he was with the family when Antonio's father passed. I was told that Antonio did move to the US, he went to one of the battalion reunions, which my grandfather never attended.
This is all the information I have, which is not much, but hopefully someone can help.
Let me add my grandpa didn't talk about his service much, but when he did it was always the same story about this boy and his family. There were fond memories and yet a huge regret in my grandpa's heart. Grandpa gave me something that was given to him by Antonio's father. This needs returned to this family and this is the reason I search.
Thanks!

if Antonio moved to the US, your best chances is to look at the US immigration registers... finding someone civil register data if he was born in the 1930s in Italy, without knowing the birthplace, seems a though task, close to impossible... there is not a national registers database, and most loacal authorities have given data for online search for the nineteenth centur yonly . Additionally Naples has a huge hinterland, with hundreds of small towns he Antonio could have been born in.
