Could someone please translate the following fields in this record? I cannot read the script well enough to use the Italian word list.

I believe this says Mariagiuseppa Galuppo birth date 17 March 1900.

Street/road name is via Paprilla?

Mother is Mariantonia Galuppo (her birth name), peasant farmer, no age given

Street is Via Pozzillo. The record is dated 17 March but the birth took place on the 16th.

I see the names of the witness, but not see the names of the parents that match what you have. I can you tell me which line I should be looking at? Thank you!

Not "Before me" which is a temporal/positional phrase, but "in front of me"

not "Officer of civil records" but registrar

In this form the names of the parents of the declarant or of the wife are not required.

This is the reason they are not mentioned

Not all pre-printed records from that period are the same

where it is requested, after the name and surname of the person there is the space provided as follows:

"Di_xxx__ ....father's name________ and di_yyy_ , _zzz__ mother's Name and surname "

in case they are deceased, before the name there is the term "fu" (it was)

Just to let you know, in English "before me" also means a reference to a person standing in front of you (e.g., the declarant is standing here before me).

This is somewhat off topic, but an observation. I am indexing records that include 1811 (3 batches) and 1893 (1 batch). The 1811 templates are barely there...very sketchy, but clear. Look more like lines leading to handwritten names. No beautiful calligraphy, one to a page.

There are often duplicate pages of the numbered page for same person on the next image. Like it is an explanation of the first. I have been calling these duplicates of the proper image since information is the same, no new info. Is that correct thing to do?

 

The 1893 forms are 2 to a page, very easy to pull out information, beautiful calligraphy so names are clearer. They are all in Teramo. There is a huge difference between these in Teramo and my ancestor acts from Agrigento -- in form and writing. Just saying...eventually, I will get to the handwritten acts, but not for now!
