For RootsTech 2021, we put together four series of video instruction specifically for those who are new to family history. These help you make connections with your family past, present, and future. They are available through February of 2022, and you can watch as much or as little as you want, when and where you want. We acknowledge that these are far from perfect, but hope they're helpful resources for those you serve.

Wow! Between the above post and what just came out in the FamilySearch Blog for people new to family history research, this has just even further streamlined the process for beginners.

COVID has truly provided some wonderful blessings to help compensate for the dark side of it all. It has forced some new thinking, new ways of doing things, and therefore even more resources for becoming more self-sufficient. This will also give ward temple and family history consultants an opportunity to interact meaningfully with members just starting out, using the Planner. These could be great 'homework" assignments!

Thank you for sharing this. I think the videos will help wards to engage their members more. I have sent the link to all the wards in my stake.
