This is probably a long shot but can someone tell me what this says about Mike Strong.
I used the book "Luxembourgers in the New World vol. 2" to find reference of my ancestors because I have not been able to find any information online about Paul D. Strong's (1866-1922) parents other than that his Father was born in Luxembourg according to Paul's death certificate.

Both articles are in German. The first one will take more time to figure out, due to the quality of the article. This isn't your fault, it's just the ink from the other side of the page has bled through to the side we want and need to read and understand, which makes it harder to read. I did however have time to look at the second one. A few of the letters I am not sure of, due to the print being 'smudged'. But this is what I was able to read.
"In unser ? dem 30 November
hat sich in Betreff der Beamten der
neuen "Luremburger Union" ein Fehler
eingeschlichen, den wir hier mit verbessern.
Es wurden zu Vorstehern der neuen Ge-
sellschaft bis Neujahr erwählt, wie folgt:

Michel Heinz, Protocollirender=Sekretär,
J. ? Kasper, Correspondirender=Sekre=
tär, Michel Bohler; Finanz=Sekretär,
Henry Haller; Schatzmeister, J. ? Weins,
Verwaltungsratch, Rs. Kummer, P. Weins
und Rs. Thill.

I broke this up, so that I could translate this. In gist, this article tells us that a mistake was made in a previous announcement concerning leadership changes within an organization which were to be effective until the new year. The mistake was admitted, and corrected in this article dated sometime after the 23 of November.
From what I've read, the bottom announcement is a separate announcement concerning a certain Johann S. Graf who died on the 23 of November, and may he rest in peace. I do not see Paul D. Strong's name in this announcement. This announcement may be related to the previous article that is much harder to read.

Unfortunately the first clip from the Dec 14, 1880 issue of the Luxemburger Gazette is the one that mentions a "Mike Strong" on page 5 who I'm guessing might be the father of Paul D. Strong using an anglicized version of his birth name "Dominick"
