Hello @Kristine Jacobsen Westerlind the record you are looking at is for confirmation. If you view further it gives the age at confirmation as 14 1/2, born 17 July 1816. Here is the christening record. https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/en/billedviser?epid=21610181#379752,73839057

Thank you so much! This is all helpful!
The mystery I'm trying to solve has to do with this father, Peder Madsen. I haven't been able to find a marriage record for him and Johanne, but there does seem to be a marriage record for her and a Peder Jacobsen. I'm trying to figure out if he changed his name, or if this is a separate marriage. The ultimate goal is to get the birth information for the correct husband.

I'm off for an appointment, but I'll help out later. We know from this census he was born about 1794 so that is helpful. He'll be in the 1801 census also. We need to see every census for this couple before they die. The bride often marries in the parish of her birth.

The marriage you have for Peter Jacobsen and Johanne Dorthea Christensdatter is a separate marriage.
First Peder Madsen was married to Mette Christensdatter but then she died and he then married Johanne Dorthea in 1813. https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=17137547#179161,30385813
Christen and Ane Marie are their children, but Ane Marie was actually born after Peder's death so then Johanne married Peter Jacobsen.

Peder and Johanne's marriage was in this parish, but it was probably earlier than you were looking. They probably had other children born before Christen who are simply not present on the 1834 census.

Looking at the marriage record for Peder Madsen in 1813, I'm not seeing the name of his wife. Is he the fifth one down on the page, number 7 in the record?

Yeah I don't see her name either its weird but that appears to be it.

There seems to be a note of some sort in the left margin. Is it indicating the date of the marriage? Or a reference to a different record?

The note refers to the 1814 christening of Mette Kirstine. https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=17137547#179161,30385717
Another record of the same christening #11 is seen here in the Kontraministerialbog. https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/en/billedviser?epid=17137551#179162,30385875
