The batch number search is a great tool but like any tool it is important to know details. Make sure you know what range of years a batch number covers.
Unfortunately the records in a batch number may often represent a small portion of the available records for that particular place. Christenings from the Bishop’s Transcripts for Llangiwg in Wales have been extracted from 1813-1866 (53 years). The Bishop’s transcripts run, with gaps, from 1672-1866 (194 years).
