Norwegian Research material: What are Kirkeboks and how are they different from Parish Registries?
In my research of my Norwegian ancestors, I typically go to https://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/ and search the Parish Registries. I normally find information like this Death and Burial Information taken from the Stange Parish Records (Stange, Hedmark, Norway), SAH, Stange prestekontor, K/L0026: Parish register (official) no. 26, 1923-1937, p. 268) as recorded at ttps://media.digitalarkivet.no/en/view/1510/272. In a separate search from the Digital Archives (https://www.digitalarkivet.no/en), I was able to find the same death and burial information (the information is slightly different) as noted before with a link to a Kirkebok (SAH, Stange prestekontor, L/L0016: Klokkerbok nr. 16, 1918-1928, s. 150 https://media.digitalarkivet.no/view/3574/146). What are Kirkeboks and how are they different from the Parish Registries that I usually find?
Thank you for the information.

Kirkebok translates to church book. It is the same thing as a parish record. The klokkerbok is the clerk's copy and the ministerialbok is the priests.
