How do I find information about my father during the time he spent at Camp Auhof in Viena?
He was born in Ivanovo, Serbia (1932) and after WWII he ended up in an Austrian Orphan Camp then adopted as refugee by Chile, South America.

Was your father Jewish? The US Holocaust Memorial Museum has some information about Jews in Camp Auhof -- https://www.ushmm.org/search/results/?q=auhof

Hi Camille
My father was not jewish. He was Astro-Hungarian refugee from Serbia at the end of WWII. He was born in Yugoslavia that later became Serbia.

Arolsen Archives (https://collections.arolsen-archives.org/en/archive/) has some lists for all sorts of refugees after WWII; I've found my stepmother-in-law's cousin's arrival in Canada in 1951, and my dad's arrival in Idlewild (what would later become JFK) in 1957, for example. Note that the search is rather literal-minded and some things are misindexed, so there's an element of luck involved.
