Translation of comments in Danish Marriage Record
I would like a translation of the remarks in the far right column of the marriage record for Niels Larssen and Kjerstin Maried Jensen. I believe the comments have something to do with the death of Niels first wife(?). Also, am I correct that after the bride and grooms names, ages and places the information listed is stating when and where they were vaccinated?

1) new scan in color: https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/da/billedviser?epid=21637872#400304,74496189
2)Last note in rigth collumn: "Brudgommen fremlagt xxxxx af 20nd August 1842". Guess it is "skiftebrev" - old Danisk "skifftæ bref", which could relate to any dead person, in this context likely former wife.
3) yes regarding the listings: + occupation "Gaard- og Tugtmand i Brixboel" i.e. Brixbøl by. More importently: /: 2det Ægteskab:/ i.e. second marriage. The bride was vaccinated in Varde, and it is her first marriage.

I really appreciate your response... After looking again at what you said, I have one more question!
I can not seem to find a translation for "Tugtmand."
It seems he was a farmer and Tygtmand in Brixboel.

well, in those times you had tugtelse and revselse, which all is about beating people if they have done something wrong. so I guess tugtmand (i.e. tugt + mand(=male)) like the combined word: tugthus (tugt plus house) which is an old term for a prison.

I believe the word is "Enkemand" widower, instead of Tugtmand. Do you agree?

I didn’t think that’s the right word as the context doesn’t seem to make sense, but perhaps I’m missing something.

That makes so much more sense! Thank you! I was having trouble reading the word, but now I see it!
