Does anyone have links to, or ideas about how I would find information on my ancestors from Monteneg

If Montenegro records are still collected in the same way as Serbia (which they were a part of until 2006), these records are in the local historical archive and have been since the 1940s/1950s.
Both Bršno and Ozrinići are in Nikšić municipality, whose archives can be contacted here:

You'll want to indicate the religion if you know it (many times the archivists know by looking at the name, but not always), and dates. Orthodox is known as Pravoslav (the majority religion) and Catholic is Rimski-Katolički. There is only a limited amount of information that the archivists can copy for you; they can't become your personal researchers. Email is probably the best bet to get the ball rolling. I would have the email in both English and in translated Serbian (using Google Translate), as having both will get your ideas across in some way.
Maybe a trip to Crna Gora (Montenegro) is in your future after the pandemic is over!

Thanks so much for your reply. I actually did visit Montenegro the summer of 2018, following the death of my father, who was Montenegrin, but only had time to drive through the villages, and meet a couple of very distant relatives I found on Facebook who lived in Bar, before having to leave and travel to our next country. That is what really sparked my interest. I was give the name of a priest in Ozrinici who someone thought might be able to help me, as my grandmother's family had lived there for generations. But he never responded to my inquiry, which I did sent in English, and translated Serbian. I should try him again perhaps. I will definitely follow up on the source that you shared, and hopefully can locate a bit more information. It has been very hard to build my family tree on my dad's side due to the lack of public information. I've taken my mother's family back to the early 1400's--they were German/Russian German which is a much easier group to research. Returning to Montenegro is a goal of mine---I'd love to be able to do more local research. Thanks again.
