ewScott,
This group, Indexing Chat, serves as a forum for the discussion of the process of indexing records. You will likely find more help form the @FamilySearch Family Tree group or the @Family History Research (since I tagged these two groups this response will appear in their feeds, no need to repost there) or perhaps one of the groups listed in this document FamilySearch Genealogy Research Groups Genealogy - FamilySearch Wiki that cover the country Hungary or Austria.

others have already shared great info.
note however true "birth certificates"
are usually a thing of the 20th century.
But of course there are often things like church records etc. that recorded births

Ok thanks. What i really need are their birth certificates or something similiar to that. Im pretty sure thats not online. I left a message with the Hungarian consulate in DC to see if they can access any of that information Im waiting to hear back. Im not sure if theres any other route to go other than an attorney in Hungary. im trying to get dual citizenship there

Till 1895 registration happened in the churches in Hungary.
More info, Rusins were greek catholic and they from Dolha were registered in the Greek Catholic Church Munkács (Мукачево) now part of Ukraine.

I think you won't get any birth certificates or something similar from Hungarian consulate rather from here:

Thank you so much again for the information, but i am still struggling to understand it. Are my great grandparents birth or baptismal information somewhere in these documents? If at all possible I would be willing to pay you for your help. Please let me know. My email is scottkab2@comcast.net

Scott, the concept of a "birth certificate" (a certificate as the primary official record of a birth) is unknown in much of continental Europe. The closest you can get is an official register extract, and for that, you need to know the location and type of the applicable register. That's what the gazetteers that Tamás linked to can tell you. In the Kingdom of Hungary before Oct. 1, 1895, official registers of births/baptisms (and marriages and deaths/burials) were the responsibility of churches, meaning that the applicable register depends on the location of the event and the religion of the principals. Availability of the register and the method/authority for issuing extracts depends on the current jurisdiction; for places that are now in Ukraine, you'll need to contact Ukrainian officials, not Hungarian ones.

in one of your posts you stated that your reason for pursuing this is:
"im trying to get dual citizenship there"
the thing is you really need to understand what they will accept in place of a "birth certificate" - chances are there wont be a certificate for this time period.
So then it needs to be clear - what they will accept in place of that.

ok thanks. yes i guess I am finding out it is probaly church or baptismal records i will likely need
