Research documents for towns
Over the years we have done research on our German families and have typed up that information according to towns. For example, I have names and birthdates/baptism dates of ancestors from a specific parish. I have a list of marriages from another German parish. In many cases, I also have a typed transcription of the actual record and an English translation. These typed pages are scanned as multipage PDFs.
I could attach the pdf to specific people in the Memories area and try to tag all the 50 others. That would require me to look on the world tree first to see if the person has a profile, and if not, to create one. However, I don't have time to do that.
I was wondering if there is a general research area for specific towns where I could upload the pdfs in the hopes that others could see it, and hopefully it would be of some use to someone.

There are two (x2) 'Options' available to you; and, you could use, either; or, both ...
.
Option 1
.
Send an "E-mail" directly to the [ "Authorities Team" ] "Standards Team" of the "Research Places" Database, with what you have done and attach that PDF.
.
placefeedback@familysearch.org
.
OR
.
Option 2
.
Add a 'Post' to the 'Group', in the "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, being "FamilySearch Places"; with what you have done and include a link to that PDF (eg. in the 'Cloud').
.
FamilySearch Places

.
I am certain that such would be greatly appreciated.
.
By the way, you could always "Volunteer" to assist with the "Standardisation" of 'Place' names in the Place names Database ... just a thought.
.
Remember, you can use BOTH of those options.
.
I hope this helps.

ps:
.
As an aside ...
.
I am "Tagging" this 'Question' of yours, in the 'Group' being "Communityfamilysearch.org Feedback", in this "Community.FamilySearch" Forum, to the 'Group' being "FamilySearch Places", in the Forum; so that, the members of the "Authorities Team" in 'FamilySearch' for the "Standardising" of 'Place' names (ie. the 'Place' names database in 'FamilySearch') can better answer/assist you.
.
I hope this helps; and, does not offend.
.
pps: That Group is "Public", which you can join, if you wish; and, raise 'Place' name, "Requests"; or, 'Questions"; or, "Posts".

Thanks for the info about my options.
I'm wondering what the people at placefeedback@familysearch.org will do with files I send them. Will they be posted somewhere?
