Research suggestion for Norway 1854-1857?
My Ancestor, Jonas Eliasson was born 7 June 1833 in Dalskog, Älvsborg, Sweden. Attached is where he appears in the houeshold survey of Vänersborg in 1852. Last entry of 1854. 1st Question. Does Skom. Ges. look like what it says in front of his name? Does this mean Shoemaker journeyman? This is his occupation later in life. Also this is the first record where he begins using the trade name Lindberg. The rest of his life he was known as Jonas Eliasson Lindberg.
2nd Question: From this record, he was supposed to go out to Ör, or perhaps Dalskog. But he never shows up there. We know he was baptised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on 17 September 1856 in the Christiana/Kristiana Branch, Oslo, Norway. He comes back to Sweden in 1857 as a missionary. Are there any records I might trace him in in Norway? Passenger lists? Census? etc. Other than the "Records of Members" for this LDS branch. Thank you.

I am not sure if this is helpful to you but this is a record of Jonas Eliasson Lindberg in Göteborg Kristine parish clerical survey records for 1861-1870. The notes are saying, among other things, that he has moved into Göteborg Kristine with a moving certificate dated 21(?) Dec 1854 from Wenersborg (Vänersborg) and that he has been in Norway. It also indicates that he is moving to Utah Territory in North America on 9 April 1862.
Here is a link to that record (line 23): https://sok.riksarkivet.se/bildvisning/C0040882_00308#?c=&m=&s=&cv=307&xywh=268%2C2204%2C7678%2C4035 .
It is interesting that he is still in the Lutheran parish records when he is, or was, a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
I searched for him in the Norway Censuses but couldn't find anything.

I totally spaced off your first question!
You are correct it does read "skom. ges." = a journeyman shoemaker.

Thank you. This is actually helpful. I am curious if you browsed for this record, or searched a database?

I searched in Myheritage censuses-Sweden Household Examination Books, 1840-1947 . These records are indexed and you can search by name and birth date in the "Advanced Search". It is often very useful.
