I have located a Marriage Record for a direct ancestor, Tomas Alcantara (GWCS-QRQ) and Maria Obiedo
What I can't find is the birth record of their son, Jose Alcantara Obiedo (GWCS-3HZ). I know that he was a son and born in Spain because he and his parents are listed in Honduran Collegians of the College of Guatemala, "De la ccorona a la Libertad" written by Leticia de Oyuela. This is a listing of students who attended the College of Guatemala and then ended up in Honduras. Thank you for any help you can give.

Wow! that is really exciting! I bet many people would be excited to find a marriage that was over 300 years old! We think of a generation of being 20-25 years, how many generations back is this for your family?

That is 8 generations. Thank you. Arden

That is incredible Arden! I am sure that many would love to have marriage records from 8 generations back. I am curious what my furthest records are like this. I might need to do some looking. I know that I have some 1800's records. I had some real old records on a line that DNA proved was not connected to me, so I am working to get back that far on the correct line now.
