Did they go, come back and go again? Can you translate the notes in the Household exam from Hässleho
I am looking at the family of Johan Andersson (21 Dec 1851) and Carolina Nilsdotter (19 June 1850). According the the household record from Torpa parish 1879 - 1892 (Torpa (G) AI:16 (1879-1892) Image 138 / Page 130) the family went to N. Amerika in1889. No record of the family in Sweden for the next decade, but then they appear in Hässleholm in 1900 (Hässleholm (L) AIIa:4 (1900-1925) Image 1970 / Page 2043). In this record it appears that at least the 3 boys at the bottom of the page arrive and leave on the same day (24 sep 1900). Is there anything in the notes for the various members of this family in this latter record that gives me a hint as to what is happening to this family? Why have they come back? Did they really just come and return? Thanks in advance for your help!

It seams that whole family came back, no reason given. Their daughter moved to Knästorp.
Those three boys are found in moving in and out records in Stoby parish where to Hässleholm belonged at that time with same days.
Father Johan, mother and youngest son moved back to America after one year.
There is no explanation why the family split.

Thanks for your help! (Not sure how you move in and out on the same day!)

It can be so that they did not move in and out at the same same but those movings were recorded at the same day. Like very often you can see that person moves out at one day and in the next parish the moving in is recorded much later, several days or weeks. It depends when the person asked the certificate to move out and when he/she gave that certificate to the next parish. Some times it took a lot time even when the distance was only some kilometers.
