Please help with ancestor research in Holzschlag / Ulrichsberg / Schwarzenberg (Upper) Austria.
I'm trying to find information about Elisabeth Bernhard who married Franz Obernberger between 1800 and 1850 in Upper Austria. When she became Elisabeth Obernberger, she and Franz had a daughter named Theresia Obernberger who later became a widow: Theresa Steininger. She had a daughter, Pauline Obernberger, born August 28th 1873 in Holzschlag.
If somebody could tell me where Elisabeth Bernhard comes from and what her parents and grandparents names are, I'd be immensely grateful!
Here's a link to my family research so far that includes my own individual ID and results so far. The matrilineal line is the most important for me. Thank you ahead of time!

Good research is done ONE STEP at a time. To solve this problem, you need to begin with what you know and can document.
Since your pedigree did not come up I found Pauline in the FamilyTree, see GWM9-QJY . In this case that would be the marriage of Pauline Obernberger to Josef Gratz in Schwarzenberg, Diocese Linz, Oberoesterreich. That record is here https://data.matricula-online.eu/en/oesterreich/oberoesterreich/oberoesterreich_schwarzenberg/207%252F1902/?pg=5 .
The record states:
"
Pauline Obernberger, formerly a maid in Schwarzenberg, living with her mother, Catholic, of age, born in Holzschlag house #5, daughter of Theresia, widowed Steininger, maiden name Obernberger, resident in Schwarzenberg #17, Catholic, still alive. As you said, Pauline was 29 years old, born on 28 August 1873.
There are at least seven localities by the name Holzschlag:
· Holzschlag (Bonndorf im Schwarzwald), Stadtteil von Bonndorf im Schwarzwald, Landkreis Waldshut, Baden-Württemberg
· Holzschlag (Gemeinde Unterkohlstätten), Ortschaft von Unterkohlstätten, Bezirk Oberwart, Burgenland
· Holzschlag (Gemeinde Alland), Ortschaft von Alland, Bezirk Baden, Niederösterreich
· Holzschlag (Gemeinde Brand-Nagelberg), Ortsteil in Brand-Nagelberg, Bezirk Gmünd, Niederösterreich
· Holzschlag (Gemeinde Klaffer), Ortschaft von Klaffer am Hochficht, Bezirk Rohrbach, Oberösterreich
· Holzschlag (Gemeinde Schwarzenberg), Ortschaft von Schwarzenberg am Böhmerwald, Bezirk Rohrbach, Oberösterreich
· Holzschlag, deutscher Name der Ortschaft Paseka (Prášily) in der Gemeinde Prášily, Plzeňský kraj, Tschechien
see https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Holzschlag
2 localities are in Kreis Rohrbach. The one in Schwarzenberg had 3 houses and 13 in habitants, the one in Klaffer had 10 houses and 53 inhabitants in 1869
SO- the next step is to determine in which Holzschlag Pauline was born, and to find her birth record. This gives more information about her mother.
Do you already have a copy of Pauline's birth record and can post a link or scanned copy?

Than you very much, Baerbel! You definitely have found correct information so far. As for Holzschlag: Both of them are in the Kreis Rohrbach. One part of it belongs to Schwarzenberg, the other belongs to Klaffer and Klaffer, I'm fairly sure, belongs to Ulrichsberg. I know the house number in Holzschlag was 5 and prior to that it was 6. I couldn't actually find the birth records for Pauline or her mother Theresia. So far I found some information on websites but couldn't really locate the supporting documentation. If we could just find the information for Elisabeth Bernhard, Pauline's grandmother, our project would be complete.

In the meantime I found Ulrichsberg as the parish for Holzschlag on www.genteam.st see https://www.genteam.at/index.php?option=com_ortsdb&id=36912&limitstart=0&view=detail&lang=en
I found Pauline's birth in Ulrichsberg, see https://data.matricula-online.eu/en/oesterreich/oberoesterreich/ulrichsberg/106%252F1873/?pg=12
Her mother Theresia was born in 1851 see https://data.matricula-online.eu/en/oesterreich/oberoesterreich/ulrichsberg/106%252F1851/?pg=2
Her parents were married in 1849, see https://data.matricula-online.eu/en/oesterreich/oberoesterreich/ulrichsberg/207%252F1849/?pg=1
The bride Elisabeth Bernhart was the legitimate daughter of Joh. Bernhart, Holzschlaeger in Holzschlag, and Kathar. Scherhauf. Jpohann Bernhart was also one of the witnesses at the wedding. Elisabetha was 24 years old.
Apparently she was not born in this parish. The first Bernhart baptism in the 1820s was for Anna Maria in 1827. Her parents were Nikolaus and Justina Grobaur, see https://data.matricula-online.eu/en/oesterreich/oberoesterreich/ulrichsberg/106%252F1827/?pg=12
The baptism index is here https://data.matricula-online.eu/en/oesterreich/oberoesterreich/ulrichsberg/103%252F02/?pg=9
The marriage of Johann Bernhart and Karth. Scherhäufl [diminuative name foem of Scherhauf] was in Ulrichsberg on 3 May 1819. Link: https://data.matricula-online.eu/en/oesterreich/oberoesterreich/ulrichsberg/207%252F1819/?pg=1
I hope this helps with your project.
