What and where are available original record sources for Hungary of the late 1800s? Thank you.
Thank you.
My grandmother, Irene Grunfeld, was born in 1889 in Nagy-Becskerek,Torontal Megye, Hungary. Her parents, Jacob Grunfeld and Rosza Reither, were both born in 1863 and 1867, respectively, in O'Becse, Bacs-Bodrog, Hungary. She attended Catholic church and was raised by nuns when orphaned in 1895. She immigrated to the United States in 1908; her nationality was listed as Hebrew on the passenger arrival list. Most of what I know was 1st hand from my grandmother; I have not been able to find any original source documents for her life prior to her coming to the United States.

Are there any available record sources for:
- Kulpin (alternatively Kulgrin or Pinced), Bacs (alternatively Bacs-Bodrog), Hungary in the late 1800s?
- Pivnicza, Hodsag, Bacs-Bodrog, Hungary in the early to mid 1800s.
- UjVidek, Bacs, Hungary in the early to mid 1800s.
This is where my grandfather's side is from. Thank you.
(Unfortunately, a search for my grandmother, her parents and a grand parent, all of whom were born in Obecse, came up blank.)

You can use this menu to search any registers (https://www.familysearch.org/search/catalog) click Search than click Catalog but sometimes you (would) have to use special Hungarian characters (á, é, í, ö, ő, ú, ü, ű)
Bacs -> Bács, Hodsag -> Hódság, Ujvidek -> Újvidék
This is an alternate database Catholic Diocese of Kalocsa (not free) but they have more records and support.

I think we were on half wrong way. They were (Hebrew) Jewish and there was a Jewish church (Jewish star sign) based on gezetter
https://library.hungaricana.hu/hu/view/NEDA_1892_helysegnevtar/?pg=1394&layout=s&query=nagybecskerek
But no any Jewish records there only catholic.
