I decided to click on the link just to see if by chance these were available without having to have a Facebook account. Initially it appeared that I could view them. I tried viewing a couple of the previous videos of presentations, but keep getting an error without explanation (other than to try updating my browser, etc. - I've got the most updated Firefox browser and Windows 10). Do you know if these are supposed to be able to be seen by the general public, or if they're restricted by Facebook to only those that have Facebook accounts? There is a lot of really good material there, but unfortunately I'm not willing to go back on Facebook. Ideas? I'd love to see the live event this evening (6pm EDT).

Hi Chris! You will need an account for the Facebook site, but you won't for the YouTube. I am checking to see if the YouTube is live or if it will be uploaded. I hope to hear back soon.

@Heather R Jacobs Thanks Heather. As long as I can view it in a reasonable time frame, that's all I care about. I don't need to see it "live." YouTube is universally accessible with a computer and on line access, so if that works I'm happy. 😀

@Chris Schmink Chris, YouTube will be Livestreamed. I am "assuming" that it will also be saved for later, but I cannot get that confirmed.

@Heather R Jacobs Wonderful. I recall several besides me that expressed disappointment at some things being offered on Facebook and Instagram when some of us have concerns that have resulted in decisions not to participate (or cease participation as in my case) with those entities. I'm glad the Church found a viable way to make them available on a universally available on line outlet that isn't requiring mandatory registration for tracking purposes. (A VPN and one of the more secure and properly configured browsers can limit YouTube's tracking to virtually nothing, so I'm quite content with that option.) Personally I don't begrudge FamilySearch's use of what's so very popularly and widely used by many. That becomes a personal choice. But FamilySearch also making sure that offerings are available with no sign-in through at least one 3rd party outlet (such as YouTube), is very much appreciated since the Church has made the choice to concentrate its focus on FamilySearch rather than becoming a technological leader in social media which is not their purpose (fully understandable!). Plus, the Church is able to deliver these excellent offerings to many who aren't members of the Church who might not ever log on to FamilySearch otherwise, and therefore might not have ever known what's available to them if they hadn't seen it on Instagram or Facebook. It's a win-win situation. Thank for checking.

Thank you for the feedback Chris, and I will definitely pass this on and let them know. It was a good presentation last night. I can't wait for next week!
