I am trying to figure out which fields in the person page or any other page will generate a hint being directed to the individual you are researching. Will a note you put in as a memory also trigger a hint?

As far as I am aware, the ONLY things that would 'trigger' a "Hint" through "FamilySearch" (ie. by/through the "System") would be the "Details" appearing in the, "Vitals"; and, "Family Members" Sections.

I am not totally saying that the information in the "Other Information" Section; and/or, attached "Sources", do not have a bearing; but, I would suggest that certainly nothing in the "Collaboration" (ie. "Notes"; or "Discussions"); or, "Memories" Sections.

Just my thoughts.
