Is someone able to help translate some word on a 1921 Danish Census?
I have found the Niels Chrisian Hansen family in the 1921 census but can't tell if Alma's birthplace is Ibsker or Olsker as indexed. Also, am not sure what is written for Marie's relationship. Niels mother's name is Marie. Also what is the 1906 and 1882 by Alma and Marie's section?
Thanks so much for you help! Elaine

The relationship word for Marie is slægtning = relative. 1885 christening record for Alma Louise Karoline Larsen is found in Olsker. https://www.sa.dk/ao-soegesider/en/billedviser?bsid=354671#354671,70353851

@EVollmer1 EVollmer1, I agree with what @Shari Duce wrote. Also, the 1906 and 1882 years are in the column of which year the person took up residence in the community, and the next column is where the person came from; for Alma, it looks like her previous place of residence was "Sverige," which is "Sweden." (The answer to your question was found in the heading; for reasons such as this, it's always best to also include a link to the image, though I was able to locate the record online because you included the film and image numbers in your snippet.) The children, including Ejler in 1906, were born in Rutsker parish.

On Alma's birth record, for the godparents the first one says 'Barnets Moder.' (I think.) What does that mean?

Also, please, is Oliva 22 years old at the birth year and from Olsker? Thanks!

Barnets Moder = child's mother. You are correct about Olive.

Is she a grandmother? Child's mother doesn't make sense it seems?

It is stating the people who are witnesses to the christening, and the child's mother (Oliva) was one of the witnesses. The other witnesses were maiden Elise Olsen (maybe a sister of Oliva), maiden Kristiane Larsen, bachelor Peter Kristian Larsen and Peter Klavdias Olsen.

Thanks, again. I don't think I've ever seen the mother being a witness. So I apprciate your clarifying this. I was trying to tie Elise into being a mother somehow. I'm so grateful for all you community workers. You're Life Savers and sure help us non-linguists in deciphering so we can get correct families together. 😊
