In genealogical terms, standardized birth dates mean, the day, the month and then the year.
This is an excellent question, because some use month, then day, and then year.
There are different ways to date events. There's the French Republican Calendar, 10 day weeks, with 30 day months, and 5 complimentary days at the end of the year starting with the first day of the year was 24 October 1793 to 31 December 1805. Each day, had its very own name.

And then you have the Julian calendar

and then you have move able feast days, and fixed feast days:

And there are other calendars as well, but we don't really use those here.

@leslie lesliegero When you enter your birth date(s) into FamilySearch, do the day, the month, and then the year. I think I know what you are talking about. I think if you put in the date; day, month, and then year, and hit the space bar, FamilySearch doesn't recognize it as the correct date, and you see a little red or purple exclamation point right next to your date. The way to fix that is by
Click on the blue EDIT button
A new box will open up, it will say at the top, Edit Birth
You will see Date of Birth. Below this is
Standardized Event Date, with an I icon next to it. You can click on the encircled blue lower case i and see what it tells you, but for now you will want to click on the Standardized Event Date, it will give you a choice of what to click on, and it will standardize the date for you.
You will see in BOLD numbers and letters the date, with a mini calendar next to it.
Then click on SAVE. If you don't, it will all be gone, and you have to do it over.
Below you will find screen shots. I could not capture one screen. But, these will give you the idea.
