Trying to locate a copy of my maternal grandparents Marriage Certificate. Both were Rusyn who emigrated to the USA in the late 19th Century/early 20th Century and settled in Jessup/Winton, PA.
My grandfather was John Waslichak born 12 Dec 1892 in Kašov, Trebišov District, Košice Region, Slovakia (Austria Hungary). My grandmother was Susan Youshock/Jevcak/Jevocsin born 24 Dec 1902 in • Petrovce nad Laborcom, Michalovce, Košice, Slovakia, both were Rusyn Greek Catholics and I believe they may have beem married around 1916 in Holy Ghost GC Church Jessup, PA. Any additional documents or details you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Regard,
Jerry Kushmerick

Please post this in a US group too. We deal with the Austrian-Hungarian Empire. Have you tried writing the church?

I think you should search when they immigrated to US or inquire Holy Ghost GC Church Jessup, PA.

Technically, when we are dealing with a place name, we can look in the calendar for that location, to see what FamilySearch has. If we don't have a location, which we do here, we then have to search through US records, to find a place of origin. There are some helpful resources for you to look at.
I went to the FamilySearch catalog, entered in Kosice,
Slovakia, Kosice came up with four entries.
Click on PLACES WITHIN Slovakia, Kosice.
You can choose from Kosice and Trebejov. It looks like you have these place names in your query. Click both to see what is available, for church records we have 22 entries. just for Kosice. (Please forgive me for not adding the accent.)

I also checked Genteam.at. They have an excellent gazetteer. You need to request permission to join, it is free, it takes a day before you get in. This is used for everything Austro-Hungarian Empire. I did search by Kosice and then for the Crown Land I chose Ungarn (Heute Slowakei) Yes, the site is a German speaking site. You may be able to right click in Google Chrome and change some things into English.
Once you find your place name, you can click on the blue highlighted words, which will tell you where those records or collections are. I am wondering if these would be in Matricula Online.eu

I was able to locate Kašov, Slovakia. But, I'm not sure this is the right place. You would have to look at your US finds, and review the information you currently have, as to how accurate it is. Is it from a ship manifest? Naturalization, there should be three records? Or something else.
In checking Matricula.online.eu, I found this:
https://data.matricula-online.eu/en/landkarte/?bbox=2412721%2C6185245%2C2425571%2C6192276
It shows you a very NICE map! However, after zooming out, there are no records for this area online, yet.
I did take a look at Mapire. Here's a screen shot and a link for you to look.
When you go to Mapire, you can put two maps side by side, and then look at the older map, and the modern map. This may help you in figuring out if there are neighboring parishes with records.

Johan Wassilchock (John Vaszilycsak) is apparently from Cejkov, Trebisov, Slovakia:
The bottom entry on the right side of the page:
No. 36
Janos
born 12 Dec 1892
Father: Mih(aly) Vaszilycsak, GC, gardener
Mother: Borbala Mitro, GC
Residence: Kaso
Godparents: Janos Belej, GC and Anna Kalok
Greek Catholic Records of Cejkov, Trebisov, Slovakia
This is corroborated by his marriage (civil copy) from Lackawanna Co. (license application) dated 29 Jan 1917 which gives his parents as Mike & Bertha nee Metra.

All of the puzzle pieces need to fit before moving backwards in time. It is always easy to jump to the wrong conclusions otherwise.

Košice is Kassa in Hungarian, but it's not the same as Kašov.
In 1910, Kassa (Košice) was a city of over 44,000 people in Abauj-Torna county, Hungary. Kasó (Kašov) was a small municipality with about 400 residents in Zemplén county.
