New Homepage Temple feedback and more
First, the Feedback button is not at the bottom of the page. Yes, I searched around for a bit.
Generally I am enthusiastic about the new layout. The layout is more conducive to what I do when I come to FS and a nicer use of space.
I like the temple widget being so prominent, but I would like to have the option of going to my reserved temple list and not only Ordinance Ready.
FS Labs could go under my To Do list.
It is overall a nice makeover.

Thank you for your feedback @Ruth A. Brown ! Going to My Reservations is not available at this time on the home page (but is available under the TEMPLE tab), but stay tuned!

Yes, Ordinance Ready seems to be something of a promotion, with all other options of research difficult to find, or realize they even exist.

Hate it. I've said this before and will repeat it. Updates and new releases for security issues may be needed. Your audience is likely older and less technical than you must think. You don't work for Apple, Microsoft, or ChatGBT. Your target is a bunch of old people (primarily) who have spent hours on their knees praying and asking for divine help with their 60, 70, and 80-plus-year-old brains to Redeem Israel. As soon as they figure out FamilySearch has changed (even if only in appearance), they turn off their computer, get frustrated, and go to their TV to watch reruns of Bonanza. For most, the changes make it more complicated. Some likely give up and say, "I'm done. I had it figured out, but I won't relearn it." And those who are young enough and smart enough to "get it" immediately are probably too busy with careers and family to appreciate it.

Rosemary Harsey, I agree totally with what you shared. I am a member of the group that you mentioned. All of the changes that I believe occurred on October 10th I consider to be very bad. They should have been thought out and talked about by someone other than those who designed it from a cubicle. A trial run by a select group who use it on a daily basis might have been a good idea. I appreciate improvements, but only if it increases my ability to advance the work. Please help us who live in FamilySearch.

We appreciate all the feedback - positive or negative. It is the only way we have of knowing what is working or not working, what people love and what they hate, based on the many ways people conduct their research. Thank you @Julie B Pierce , @P. Krebs and @Rosemary Harsey - we want to you know we value your input and it is recorded and logged. The changes are run through test groups and many are driven by technology changes and the need to expand to a world-wide audience.

@Ruth A. Brown - Just following up - the feedback button is on the left as you stated and there is not a plan to move that, however, the wording on the header has been changed.
