Translation of Borge Norway Marriage record
Hi, this is my last record I cannot read and I'm hoping you can help. This is Johan Olsen marrying Anne Christine Andersdatter. Dec. 30, 1843 in Borge Parish. I can read their ages and I can read his father is Ole Pedersen and it looks like her father is Anders or Andreas Olsen, but I believe this is incorrect as there are no Anne Christine Andersdatter records that match all the possibilities in Skjeberg and Borge for her prior to marriage. I have all their other records post marriage but no clues standout except one saying her father is from Aarum, which is nearby in Borg. Can you read the rest of this marriage record so I can see if I can find any clues here. Thanks

It's interesting that they were both vaccinated by the same person. Unfortunately, it seems that vaccination protocols haven't been digitized for those years. The vaccinations from 1813-1823 are held in the Statsarkivet i Oslo (AV/SAO-A-2018/O/Oa/L0001). I also couldn't find her being christened in Skjeberg. Have you done an image by image search for her confirmation? Otherwise, I might be trying to find Anders Olsen who would be the right age to be the father in Aarum and follow him forward in time. You could also try to search or have someone search bygdeboks for the Borge/Skjeberg area.

Thank you very much for this translation. Every clue helps. I have read every single page of birth records, and confirmation records from 1800 to 1825 and I have been comparing Anders Olsens with this information and there is nothing. I have look at all the people who attended her children's baptisms and nothing sticks out. But I did find servant girl Anne Christine Andersdatter (b. 1810) transferring from Skjeberg parish to Borge parish in 1941, as she had been a servant in Borge since 1939. I am thinking she really is from Sweden or Denmark as I have found an Anne Christine Andersdatter immigrating in 1825 to the county, age 22 1/2. There is an Anders Olsen Aarum but he dies in 1813 and his wife is Lispeth, but they do not have this record of birth and none of their children show up with Anne Christine. I did find an Anders Olsen a soldier, maybe illegitimate child, that might fit but wrong birth timing. There is an Anders Olsen having a child in 1812 but it looks like Anne Marie Andersdatter. No one in our family has ever found her record. I am now looking at Johan Olsen to see if I can pin down exactly where he was a servant as they may be working together on the same farm. One birth record mentions father is from Aarum Løkken, which may be a mistake or a clue as Aarum and Løkken are in different countries. Again thanks.
