The “Tag People” Button has moved. See these updates.
Where did the “Tag Person” button go?
The “Tag Person” has undergone a slight change. This is a known issue and not ideal, but it will likely change again as Engineers continue to work on fixes to the Memory Viewer. For now, see details below. And thank you for your patience!
Issue 1:
In all instances, you will no longer see the blue “Tag Person” button at the top of the Information side-bar on the right-hand side of your screen.
Issue 2:
If you open a Memory image that has not been tagged to anyone, you will see no options or information about tagging.
To start tagging, you will need to click anywhere inside the memory image. As soon as you click anywhere inside the image, a white frame will appear as well as a “Tag People” pop-up box.
You can move and adjust the size of the frame. You can also move the image around to better see the image as well as the pop-up box.
Begin typing to find your person. Click the correct person to tag this memory to them.
The tagged person will appear in the Information side-bar.
If you click inside the memory image and do not wish to tag anyone, simply click anywhere in the gray area surrounding the image to remove the “Tag People” pop-up box.
Issue 3:
If you open a Memory image that has been tagged to people, you will see the list of tagged individuals in the Information side-bar, but you will still not see a “Tag People” button.
You will need to click anywhere inside the memory image to begin tagging.
Issue 4:
If you open a Memory PDF or Story or Audio, you will find a gray “Tag People” button at the bottom of your screen, inside the viewer section of Memory Viewer.
