Looking for info on Maria/Anna Worwa, born in Budapest, Hungary 1899-1901
Hello everyone im looking for info on an ancestor of mine, The only place where I can search is the national archives but they won't do family research, I feel hopeless. I already contacted the archives of Budapest, the municipality of Budapest and the ministry of registry and certificates. The last one said that the place to be was the national archives.
This is the information I got:
Maria Worwa, or it could be Anna Worwa
She was most likely born around 1899-1901 in Budapest:
We got the following exact dates from several documents:
From the church in Chabowka, Rabka-Zdroj, Poland: 11 february 1899 Budapest, Hungary
From the Archives of Legnica/Wroclaw, Poland: 15 march 1900, Budapest, Hungary
From the municipality of Rabka-Zdroj, Poland: 15 february 1900
As you may see, there are lots of possible dates.

We also know that her sister which also carries one of the same names: Anna Worwa was born on 15 June 1901 but we are not sure if she was born in Budapest too.

Groom and bride made their marks.(No guarantees about the Hungarian registrar's reproduction of the Galician placenames, nor about my decipherment of same.)

Ignácz Worwa, his mark, informant.I did not find the sister's birth registered in the same district within a month of the given date, nor does it appear to be in any of the districts of Budapest where mid-1901 births have been indexed. (District X births before 1907 are in the waypoints mixed in with district IX. I don't know why you were told "national archives", because the place to be is actually FamilySearch. They have the archive copies of the civil registrations, and quite a bit of it is even indexed: https://www.familysearch.org/search/collection/1452460.
A note on "(community) residency" in the above translations: this is a concept that doesn't exist in English. Possible translations include "belonging-place", "responsible place", or "relevancy-place", and it's basically a form of social security: it's the place where that person can turn for monetary aid in case of need.

I think their places of origin are Chabówka and Rokiciny, which were both villages in Nowy Targ (Neumarkt), Galicia (numbers 6 and 31: www.familysearch.org/library/books/idviewer/232531/431). No clue what the marriage record has by way of district name, but neither Chabówka nor Rokiciny are listed under anything other than "Nowy Targ, Nowy Targ" in the Gemeindelexicon. The clerk must have misinterpreted something from the Polish paperwork.

Oh wow, my jaw literally dropped seeing the first comment. Nobody was able to find anything. You have no idea how grateful I am for this. I suppose I'll have to contact the 'anyakönyvi hivatal' of Budapest for the official certificates. I'm not sure if this will make me eligeble for citizenship (verification) since it states that they declared themselves austrian citizens. But I'll see what the authorities have to say. I really appreciate what you did!

Do you perhaps also know what church they married at?

The civil marriage registration doesn't identify where (or if) they had a church wedding. The maps and the one guy's wedding venues database concur that the Kőbánya RC church is in district ten, but that doesn't necessarily mean that that's where they married.
