Trying to track down the Lutheran registers from Marktredwitz, Bavaria
If Mr. Capeller says anything about where/how he got access to the surviving registers to write his _Geschlechterbuch der Stadt Marktredwitz_ in 1968, I haven't found it in the digitized microfilm of his book on FamilySearch (https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/3:1:3Q9M-CS86-35N?i=6&cat=342727). I've looked on FS, the Bavarian State Archive (https://www.bavarikon.de/search?lang=en), Archion, and Matricula-Online, with no luck. (Archion has stuff from a different Redwitz, Matricula-Online only has one of the RC churches, and the state archive mostly has stuff about nativity scenes.)
Anyone have any idea who holds the Lutheran registers for Marktredwitz, and where? (I need 1600s and early 1700s. Yes, I realize that Mr. Capeller says 1663-1700 is missing.)

Hello @Julia Szent-Györgyi,
Have you asked the city archives of Marktredwitz where the Lutheran registers are stored? They may know where these records are held.
Here's the link: https://www.marktredwitz.de/im-rathaus/stadtverwaltung/hauptamt/stadtarchiv

Thanks for that idea, @Robert Seal_1. I hope they can deal with email in English, because while I can read German, I have zero confidence in my ability to write in it.

Yes, write in English. I'm always impressed with how well Germans (and everyone else in Europe) understand and speak English.
