In the year 1855, on the 28th of February at 9:00 am Nicolaus Brag, 48 years old, railway guard on the Hessian Ludwig Railway, not related, and Emmerich Stenzel, 54? years old, railway foreman, not related, both residing in Worms, appeared before me, Franz Euler, mayor and civil registrar of the community of Worms, and declared to me that Regina Scherer, 8 years, 5 months, 22 days old, born in Dorndürkheim [Dorn-Dürkheim], residing in Worms, illegitimate daughter of Katharina Scherer, [who is] now married to the [above] named Nicolaus Brag, residing in Worms, died on 27 February 1855 at 4:00 pm in the House Lit. E, no. 99 in the Judengasse, and the informants, after it was read to them, have signed the present document, with me.
