Magdalena Gantschnigg Marriage Feb 6, 1848, Oberzeiring, Styria, Austria
Hello, I am working on building out Magdalena Gantschnigg and Blasius Salzer's family trees and kindly request a translation of the information below their names on the linked marriage record #1. I don't need any info about the legality of the marriage.
Bride Magdalena, age 37 and unmarried: I know that Magdalena Gantschnigg's father was Blasius Gantschnigg and her mother was Maria Weiss. Was the house #1 in Oberzeiring? and if possible, what was the occupation of Blasius Gantschnigg. It would be good to know if they were alive at the time of the marriage.
Groom Blasius Salzer, age 29, and widowed: The marriage place was Oberzeiring, House #26, which I assume was the groom's family's home. Blasius' father was Joseph Salzer and his mother was Agnes Schmolger? If there are occupation for the parents and information on whether they were alive or not, I would appreciate that
Witness names: It looks like there are three people but I cannot decipher their names and occupations.
Thank you,
Tammi

Translation:
Blasius Salzer, owner of a small house in Judenburg and journeyman bricklayer, illegitimately begotten son of the still alive Joseph Salzer and Agnes Schmölger, already dead.
Magdalena Gantschnig, maid of the provostry administrator No. 1. Legitimate daughter of Blasius Gantschnig, a farmer in Schlät__? Upper Carinthia?, already deceased, and Maria née Weiß, still alive,

Thank you, I wonder if you can decipher the witness names. I will also post a separate discussion with the birth record of Blasius Salzer. It will be interesting to see what it says about his illegitimacy.

Imho: Blasius Salzer's mother's name is Agnes Schmölzer. The clergyman's name I'd read as Herrmann Riegelmaier.

Ulrich and StH32, most appreciative of your translations of witness names and occupations and Agnes Schmolzer's surname spelling.
