Translated from Russian:
Birth Record No. 54, Kiernozia Parish, of Mateusz Kujawa, born in Czerniew on the 13th September 1873, christened on the 14th September 1873, son of Kacper Kujawa, a farmhand, 23 years old, living in Czerniew, and of Malgorzata, born Michalczak, 23 years old. Witnesses: Lukasz Michalczak, a farmhand, 38 years old, and Marcin Drozda, a laborer, 50 years old, residents of Czerniew. Godparents: Lukasz Michalczak and Rozalia Tabara.
Death Record No. 23, Kiernozia Parish, of Mateusz Kujawa, who died in Czerniew on the 4th June 1874, death reported on the 5th June 1874, he lived 2 months (should be 8 months?), he was born and lived in Czerniew, son of Kacper Kujawa, a farmhand, and of his wife, Malgorzata, born Michalska, residents of Czerniew. Death reported by Pawel Galiasiak, 40 years old, and Andrzej Tabara, 33 years old, both laborers in Czerniew.
Please note that without printed IDs, there are variations in spelling of surnames, e.g. Michalczak or Michalska. This death was reported by a neighbor, who might have misheard the age of the deceased, it probably would have been more exact if the father reported this death.

Thanks for the info Maria. You've been such a big help. I want you to know that I did look at the script.byu.edu site for the Russian tutorial. I'm determined to learn how to read these Russian documents, but it's like learning to read all over again; starting with the ABC's. It's going to take some time, so please bear with me until then.

Please also consider the following sites if you have not done it:
typeitRussian - to transliterate written words to typed ones, then it is easier to put them into GoogleTranslate Russian to English
familysearch.org - Search - Research Wiki - Howto - Russian Word list. There used to be samples of Russian to English translations which are often standard, maybe you can find them there or in script.byu.edu
You are doing great! Glad to help you.

Maria,
Have made it through the alphabet currently used, and am now working on the old russian characters that will appear in these documents. Almost there, and then I'll be making use of all these valuable web sites. Can't thank you enough for your input and your motivating words.
Take care
