Adding Record Hints to the CET can only happen on one tree
First of all, I could not add an image of this issue without permission. I suppose that will change some time. Now, I am in the CET trying to add a Record Hint to Charles Godfrey DeFriez Jarvis GRVQ-J7S and I get a notice about his wife, Margaret Jarvis GRV7-VY8 that "This source is attached to someone else in the Family Tree: Margaret Jarvis G5GW-WCS." Hmm. The Margaret Jarvis who is attached to Charles Godfrey DeFriez in the FamilySearch.org Family Tree is Margaret Jarvis KWCK-ZQP. So, now I have an extra Margaret Jarvis. Is there a duplicate in the FamilySearch Family Tree? Initially, no duplicate shows up, so I try to merge with ID. I get an error message that says "Merge Cannot Be Completed, These two people cannot be merged because they are in different trees Learn More." I check the Learn More which doesn't tell me anything useful. By clicking on the ID of the duplicate person, I open the G5GW-WCS person and she is READ ONLY. I then click on this family tree and find that this person is already in a CET tree owned by Todd Powell 5 Gen Tree 4-15. I didn't realize I was related to Todd, but the issue is that it appears that I can't add a Record Hint to my tree if someone else already has the record attached. First come, first served, I guess. 😁 What would be a good way to show the screenshots?

I will probably keep trying work with all the features I can because it appears that I was successful in importing Record Hints from Ancestry directly into the original Ancestry-based CET i had before I was asked to delete it and upload a new one. That was when the second Ancestry family tree didn't upload and switched to using a RootsMagic GEDCOM File. I don't really care, at this point, which GEDCOM file I use, anything except what I have on FamilySearch is fragmentary at this point. However, ultimately, I would like to use the CET as my primary tree.
