Group look is the same as private tree
In learning how to use Group Tree, I didn't know where I was for a while. In the course of adding people to my group I had the + signs by each picture. Later in the Day, when I logged in I could not see + signs any more, and my Group tree looks just like my Private family tree, without the pictures I have added in Group. Those who have joined the group see the normal view of group tree, but I am stuck without being able to see the normal group view. I am sure that it was something I did in going back and forth, not knowing what I was doing that caused the problem. Walker and Norma Mabey is the group name.

A couple of questions: Can you switch between your Family Group Tree using the Tree Name button in the upper left-hand corner of the screen?
Also, can you check on your Family Group Details page to see if you have the View Tree button?

WHy so many new personal ID numbers?

If I am pulling from my personal tree a living person why do I get a new personal ID for the group. It just seems to a confusion.

@rodbeynon This is a common point of confusion for people first trying out the group private space. When you create a group private space (aka "tree") you are not giving people access to your personal private space. You are creating a new private space with all new copies of the profiles in your personal private space. This preserves the privacy of your own space and gives you a place to keep things you don't want to share.
Because these two private spaces are independent of each other, the equivalent profiles in each need to have different IDs. The content of the two IDs will diverge with time unless you manually add everything anyone adds to a profile in your group space to the equivalent profile in your private space.

Yes I see the same pull down in my account as my wife's. But her account is the Group tree and mine has no + signs or arrows to siblings that are in the group.

It sounds like the experimental "Sibling" View—now Portrait (Beta)—somehow got disabled. I'm honestly not sure how to enable it in the first place, but maybe someone else in the community does. I thought it was somehow tied to the Group Tree feature.

@KentMabey Can you try this? Click on this link to turn off the Family Group Tree and then go back to the experiment's main information page and click the TURN ON EARLY ACCESS button again? See if that resets your tree to the correct settings.

since there have been several updates to the system I am closing this issue. If you find it is still occurring, please start new post.
