I'm trying to determine where the records for my Jewish ancestors are in the 1800's. My 2nd great grandfather's name (as I know it) was Getzel Green (or in some immigration records it was "Gergol" or "Gatzel". I see records that state he was from Walkovisk…
I am hoping to find records for where he was born (1843) and who his mother and father were.
