"The groom is ?? ?? 74 ?? ??"
(I swear, every single thread in this group has "translation" in the title, so I decided to skip that part.)
This is a marriage record from Gálos (Gols), which was in Moson county, Hungary at the time. I think I've figured out most of it (because I already knew approximately what it said). It's the last entry on the page.

24. 30 August 1874.
Groom: Michael Göhring, schoolteacher locally, place of origin Sopron [=Ödenburg], residence Gálos [=Gols] number 354, Lutheran ["evang. A. C."], age 25 years, widower.
Bride: Elisabeth Günther, daughter of Mr. Michael Günther, merchant, and his wife Elisabeth born Fleischhacker, origin and residence Gálos number 178, Lutheran, age 27 years, young woman [no clue what this means in this context].
Witnesses: Mr. Karl Ebner, schoolteacher; Mr. Michael Fleischhacker, land registry clerk [?], Georg Fleischhacker, ??.
Officiant: the same (August Schuh, local pastor).
With 3 announcements.
Observations: the groom is ?? ?? 74 ?? ??.
I have questions about the bride's marital status, and the "Observations" column has me utterly stumped. (I'm refusing to worry about the missing bits about the witnesses.) Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!

Jungfrau = not married before.

But how is Jungfrau different from the "ledig" that's in all of the other records on the page?

I wonder if it's a military thing - the groom is --something-- in the 74 --something-- Bat[allion]?

Someone replied on a different forum: his reading of the comment is "Der Bräutigam ist Honved im 74 Honv Bat". (No, I didn't ask the question elsewhere. He read it here and replied there.)
(No wonder I couldn't read it. I was expecting German words, not Hungarian ones.)
So that just leaves my other question: what does it mean that this bride is a Jungfrau, while everyone else on the page is ledig?

Jungfrau means virgin, while ledig means unmarried. A bride who is unmarried but has had premarital intercourse or an (illegitimate) child is ledig, but not Jungfrau. But I don't know if this difference is intended here. It could just be a sloppiness on the part of the scribe and there is no difference intended.

Thanks, Anneke, Sylvia, and Ulrich!
(You were exactly right, Sylvia. We were all just looking for words in the wrong language.)
