Dear members.
I seek your advice. I am searching for my relatives who immigrated to the United States. Their surname is Sojka. My grand-grandfather arrived in the United States approximately between 1890 and 1900, remaining there till 1930, before returning to Czechoslovakia. His name was Jan Sojka also can be recorded as John Sojka. His son, Karol Sojka, emigrated to the United States in the early 1930s, according to my grandmother, and had three children, whose names are unknown to me. They lived in the state Ohio. I have been told that a relative, most likely Karol Sojka's grandson, visited Slovakia and was seeking family connections. It was in the year 1998 but my grandmother who disbelieved his story that he is looking for a connection to the family sent him away. From that moment I try to find my family in the USA but without any success because the surname Sojka is very common and it is hard to find my relatives.
Thank you for any advice
Best wishes

That's too bad your grandmother sent that person away. Do you have Jan's birthplace and birth, death and marriage dates, and who his spouse was. Also Would you have Karol's birthdate and birthplace, that might help.
