Need record that hasn't been digitized for Rödelheim, Frankfurt/Main

I'm trying to help a friend and ward member find the christening record of his great grandfather, Johan Nicholas Wesel, K86Z-QPH. He was born about 26 May 1856 in Rödelheim Frankfurt am Main, Hesse-Nassau, Prussia, Germany according to his passport.

The Evangelische records are on a film reel, but not digitized. Would there be a volunteer who does look ups, or can you suggest a good option for him?

Thank you for your assistance and any direction you can give us! He isn't sure if he was Lutheran or Catholic, but the Catholic baptism records aren't filmed for 1856. If he is Catholic, where would we find those records?

I'm sorry if my answer was not clear.

All microfilms have now been digitized. Digitized ONLY means that the images on the film have been recreated into digital images. Digitized does not mean "online" or "searchable."

Your image did not come through - the Community software sometimes balks at displaying images. Since you listed the Film and DGS numbers, I suppose your image may have been something like this:

Hi @Joellen McAlister All microfilms have been digitized, but that does not mean all films can be viewed online from home. Some can be viewed at Affiliate Libraries, some at FamilySearch Centers, and some only in Salt Lake City.

The film reel icon now just means that the image cannot be viewed from the current location, not that the record is only available on microfilm.

I'm not sure that I understand. The film is Taufen 1833-1875 in Rödelheim.

It sounds like it is only available at the SLC FSC. Is that right?

Another option is Archion. They seem to have the Rödelheim films online. For a 20 Euro fee you can view images for 30 days and download up to 50 images.
