Search for a death record for a brick wall grandfather possible death at sea.
My grandfather Miguel Gerena y Lopez -Birth 1906 in Lares, Puerto Rico.
His parents are: Gonzalo Gerena Ayala and Rosa Lopez Bello of Lares, PR
Records I have found him in are: PR Civil Registration,1885-2001.
Death is believed from between 1928-1935, at sea or in New York.
He had two sons: Marvin Gerena -B:1929-1982 Brooklyn, NY & Ramsey Gerena B; 1931-1994 Brooklyn, NY.
Marvin and Ramsey's Mother used serial first names depending on what document you are looking at,
Tomasina/Tomasa/Tomasita/Thomasa Rivera Ramos 1904-1963 Naguabo PR.
After Miguel Gerena passed the family moved to Manhattan NY in the 1940 census.
Census Records: in PR- 1910, 1920, Brooklyn New York-1925,1930.
New York, Passenger and Crew List from 1926-1928 he worked doing jobs as a wiper and firemen etc.
I found Gerena cousins in who grew up in Brooklyn NY, they believe Miguel/Michael Gerena died from a fall on a ship while working on a fuel tanker ship. Another mention that they think he fell while cleaning a windows in New York, NY.
Humble Deborah
PS- sorry to say I can't read Spanish.

Hello Deborah
I do not speak English either but I use aids.
1) Comment that Miguel Gerena was born, according to the inscription, on May 14, 1906 in Lares, Puerto Rico. Her paternal grandparents are Nicanor Gerena and Manuela Ayala and the maternal grandmother is Eladia López.
2) It would be nice to see Ramsey Gerena's birth registration. I could tell if his father was deceased on that date to focus the search. He could also report on his father's profession and see if he could have died at sea or on land.
3) If you study the information suggested by the system using the "blue squares", which are suggested records, you will add information to the one you already have.
4) If you eliminate the "red squares" the chances of the system finding concordances increase ...
It will be easier to locate the death of Miguel after having solved everything that I mention.
Cheer up!
