Translation help needed with child's birth and death records in Cyrillic
The following two records are for Juliana Lange. Both records are from Rudno, 1875, FHL #5479767. Her mother died the day after Juliana's birth, and I have the translation of that record. Both the mother's death and the baby's birth were reported the day after the mother's death. The baby died about six months later, so I have tried to translate the facts of both her birth and death records. Please check and correct my attempt to translate these two sad records.
Thank you
Sue Luchs

Good work, Sue. I am glad you are familiar with German surnames. The recorder wrote what he heard and translated those names into Russian.

Maria, thank you very, very much for helping and correcting me on all these Cyrillic records. This finishes the birth records of all the siblings of my husband's grandmother (except for the one I can't find), which was my current project. When I request translations on the generation before that, the records will probably be in Polish. But I don't plan to do that for a while. Your kindness, help and instruction through this Community and during my previous visits to the FHL made possible our ability to find many of my husband's ancestors who had been lost to the family.
With grateful thanks,
Sue and Arvin Luchs

Well, at some point, I would like to find the birth record for Martha Lange. She was supposedly born in 1893 in Ossowo, Lubelskie, near Aleksandrowka. Her sister Emma was also born there in 1889, but I found her birth record in Rudno. However I cannot find (or perhaps not recognize) Martha Lange's birth record in Rudno between 1890 and 1895. This is not a high priority, but if you could set someone to look for this when they have time, I would be grateful. Thank you for your continued kindness.

Sue, how could I access the Parish/Civil Records Office for Ossowo? If it is Rodno, Evangelical Records, where did you find those records in Familysearch.org or lubgens.eu, or somewhere else.

I meant to type it as Rudno.

I found all the others in Rudno records through FHL catalog. I have no idea how to get the Ossowa civil records. Since Emma Lange was born in Ossowa but recorded in Evangelical Parish of Rudno, I assumed Martha's record would be in Rudno also. Below are the catalog numbers I searched for Martha Lange (was supposedly born in 1893).
Sue
1890: 5479781. 1891: 5479782. 1892: 5479783. 1893: 5479784.
1894: 5479795. 1895: 5479796.

Sue, I checked the microfilms you listed and did not find there the birth record of Martha Lange. I will contact German consultant tomorrow and hope they have information on Ossowo Evangelical records.

Thank you, Maria. It is a mystery to myself and other family members where her record could be. I appreciate that you checked those microfilms. I know that was probably an unpleasant task. I would feel badly for someone to spend a lot of time on the search, but I would be grateful if Martha Lange could be found without too much effort. If I find any other helpful information, I will let you know and also send through the German Community.
Thank you again for your kindness,

Sue, I contacted a German consultant, but she could not find your Martha Lange, born about 1893. Could you let me know who were the parents of Martha Lange? I hope you have MyHeritage subscription, or you can do it for free in your neighborhood family search center. I found there family of Samuel Lange and Anna Tonn, entered by Frank Lesniewicz. But Anna Lange, born Tonn, died in 1875, so she could not be Martha's mother. MyHeritage has many families from Eastern Europe and maybe you could find there your Martha or her parents. Best wishes.

I do have a MyHeritage subscription, and I will check there. Martha Lange's father was Samuel Lange, but her mother was Henrietta Nachtigall. She married Samuel later in 1875 after the death of Anna Tonn, his first wife. Marsha Lange was the youngest child of Henrietta and Samuel Lange. I have also checked with a man on Ancestry who is a researcher of German Baptist families in Poland, but I have not yet heard back from him. Thank you again for so much help. I'll keep searching and let you know if I find any more leads.
Grateful again,
Sue Luchs
