Latin record, question about format
I've been reading records in Radosk, Strasburg, West Prussia. The indexers of the record set, I think, have incorrectly indexed the names. I want to double-check the record format before I go making changes to the records. I believe the format on the birth record has the Father's first name, then his parents' names, then the wife's first name, and then her parent's names.
So in the example linked below I would read it as baptism on 4 March of Julianna born 1 March in Zembrze. Father Bartholomei son of Adam and Margaretha Majorkow. Mother Marianna daughter of Josepho and Agnete Kulkow, Catholic. Is that correct?
The indexer has the father as Bartholomei and the mother as Magaretha Majorkow.
I would put the father as Bartholomei Majorkow and the mother Marianna Kulkow(na)

Baptismal Record, Radoszki (Radosk in German), of Julianna Majorek, born on the 1st March 1798, baptized on the 4th March 1798, daughter of father: Bartholomaeus (Bartlomiej in Polish) Majorek, who is son of Adam and of Margaretha (Malgorzata in Polish), married couple Majorek (Majorkow), and of mother: Marianna, born Szuk (or Kuk), daughter of Josephus (Jozef in Polish) and Agnes (Agnieszka), married couple Szuk (or Kuk), Catholics, farmers (coloni). Godparents: Ignatius (Ignacy in Polish) Zielenski and Barbara Marcweltowa (?), from Zembrze.
When you read baptismal records of their other children you may clarify the spelling of some of the names, e.g. Szuk/Kuk, and Marcweltowa.

Thank you Maria. I've seen your name answering so many translation requests. You are such a blessing to so many of us who don't have your skills at reading these family records.
Question, can anything be done to correct all of these Radosk records that were incorrectly indexed? I think the entire record set might need to be done again. As they are now, when searches are done they don't bring up the right people because the fathers have no last name and the mothers are listed as the paternal grandmother.

@L. Barney Unfortunately, this collection will not be re-indexed. The index for the record you referred to is at https://www.familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:6ZMF-JDW4 and is currently editable. Feel free to correct the information when you come across these.
