Birth or marriage certificate from Borbeck

You don't say where he lived or where he was married or died - US? Germany? If his surname was Neuhaus, that's fairly common and widespread in Germany - see
https://geogen.stoepel.net/?q=neuhaus
but if it was Neuhausen, it's less common and more localized. See
https://geogen.stoepel.net/?q=neuhausen
A little more detail or background information would be required in order to get help from this forum.

I believe he stayed in Germany. He lived in Borbeck
im sorry, I have no other info. His son Gerhard (George) born in 1842 came to Ohio and then Michigan but none of his information says anything about his parents.
I believe son shortened name when came to US

There are three different Borbecks listed in Meyer's Gazetteer, see
https://s.meyersgaz.org/search?search=borbeck
None of these places have records at FamilySearch or Ancestry in the timeframe you're looking for. One of them has a local historical association, so perhaps you could get in touch with them and ask for help there. (Use Google Translate for these pages.)

Per the 1900 census, George came to the US in 1882 and was subsequently naturalized. You should try to find the naturalization papers - probably in Ohio - to see if they can provide any further details.
Other options are to look for a county history book for Perry County OH and see if he's listed there. County histories were very popular in the late 1800s and were created for most counties across the US. Many are available on Google Books, archive.org, and other free sites.
Or, if George was Protestant, look for church records wherever he lived. German-speaking parishes in the US often kept their records in German, and may have included non-US birthplace information.
Look for newspaper articles either in Ohio or Michigan, especially obituaries, that might have included some more details.
