Time Line - individual items don't show the correct source
Please look at the timeline for James Henry Bowers KHGR-M44.
https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/timeline/KHGR-M44
There are 2 events for 4 Oct 1862. The military event for that date shows in the timeline as linked to the wrong source. (Click on the Military Service event in the timeline and then View Record). The custom event for that date with the hour glass doesn't show as linked to any source at all. (There is no View Record when you click on it.) I have made sure that both events in Other Information on the Details page are linked to the same source.
1) Why does the Military Service event display the wrong source?
2) Why do some events not display any source at all?

Same issue with John Wint KWC5-8HD. Naturalization on timeline opens his marriage source, not his 3 Naturalization sources.

The Time Line is showing several odd/undesirable behaviors. I can confirm that both CathyAH's and Miss Jessie's examples go to a totally-unrelated source from the "view record" button on the timeline.
Also, the map is still stubbornly first showing the USA on everyone's profile. For example, my grandfather never traveled any further west than Austria (and I'm not entirely certain he ever even got that far), but when I click "Time Line" on his profile, the map shows the United States and nothing else.
And there's another thing that I first noticed while exploring CathyAH's example: for some reason, the auto-generated text on some events is showing twice.
Oh! And I have (somehow) succeeded in creating yet another example of the "view record" button going to the wrong source. I entered my dad's immigration and attached two sources to it: the Arolsen Archives passenger manifest from 1957, and his Declaration of Intention from 1960 -- but the button goes to the index entry for his naturalization in 1962. The naturalization event that that source is actually attached to does not have the "view record" button.

I just noticed another thing. This one's not technically an error as such, but it could use some adjustment. The age calculator is obviously using 1 Jan for year-only dates, which means that it's off by a year -- my dad was born in mid-January. Whatever the exact date of that naturalization (it's hard to tell), he was almost certainly 25 years old for it, not 24. Given that there isn't an alternative date to use that will not result in the number being off by one about half the time, my suggestion is actually just to label estimates as estimates: if an event on the timeline has only a year, or if a person's birthdate is not exact (year only, or "about/before/after"), then the timeline should report "Age about 24".

Thank you for the details. I've reported the source issue to the team.

The team has reported the issue has been fixed. I took a minute to review some of the examples and it seems to be right. Please let us know if there are any problems we missed.

It's still doing both the doubled auto-text and the going to the wrong source on my dad (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/person/timeline/LTB1-MTJ).
That "View Record" button goes to the source that's actually attached to the next event, his naturalization (https://www.familysearch.org/tree/sources/viewedit/9TTJ-R3S), and clicking on that event expands it, but in exchange for not having the doubled auto-text, it doesn't have a View Record button, either.
Oh, and the map is still showing me the US for my grandparents, none of whom have any events west of Hungary.

Thank you. I can't duplicate the double text, but I can duplicate the wrong source and lack of source. I've passed on the details to the team.
