Gehbauer - Transcription of difficult marriage record
I found a marriage record for a Gehbauer groom in a 1745 Ansbach Militärgemeinde book, with the help of a compiled-later index of the births/marriages/deaths.
I'm hoping this might be my fifth-great-grandparents, but the record is nearly impenetrable. Georg Sixt Gehbauer, my fourth-great-grandfather, was born approximately August 1745, so this January wedding could fit.
The index said it was Seite 101 and number 3. I put a red box around it. The "101" is next to the year 1745.
I'm seeing: 22sten Januar Karl ___ Gehbauer, ___ unter des ____(several words) mit Maria Magdalena ___crist?(another middle name) _____ingen? (bride's last name), ___ hier geburtig, auf ...... (and I can't make out the rest!)
I hope you can decipher more than I can. Thanks!

Very difficult - but I believe the first name is not Karl but maybe Anton. The words after his name decribe possibly his position in the military:
22sten Januar wurde Anton(?) Gehbauer, ___ unter des ____(several words) __dorff (officer's name?) Comp[agnie] mit Maria Magdalena ___crist?(another middle name) _____erkinger? (bride's last name), von hier gebürtig, auf erhaltener gnädiger Erlaubtniß ehel[ich] getraut.

Thank you, Ulrich. I believe you're right about his first name. I now see that in the other records before and after, there is a similar word after the month...maybe "wurde." And so his first name could be Anton. The pastor does make funny, squiggly "n" letters.
Rats, I was hoping for the wife's maiden name, but that's at least a more unusual ending of her last name. I tried adjusting the contrast on the image - the first letter of her last name may be an R. But shoot, if I wasn't looking for "Gehbauer," I would not have been able to read his last name, either.
I think I found a birth record for Georg Sixt Gehbauer yesterday in these same gemeinde records, so I'll post that next.

P.S. I just looked again on the index that led me to this record. After the last name Gehbauer, it had an abbreviation that I thought might be some sort of military title. But comparing it to other lines in that index, I see that it is the abbreviation of his first name: "Ant." So you're right his first name is Anton.
