Translation help need
In searching for a baptism record for Wilhelm Newhard in Archion.de Rheinland: Archiv der Evang Kirch. Greifenstein 1688-1780 IMAGE 71 the attached record notates at the very bottom Johann Philipp Neuhard, Wilh Neuhard on a one line sentence . It then goes across to the paragraph against the black background. Is this the continuation of the record? all other records provide a paragraph. I have looked on the image before and the image page after to determine consistancy in page numbering.
Any assistance you can provide would be appreciated. I hope you will be able to enlarge the record. Please translate that bottom line if not connected to the next paragraph.
Thank you

I have seen similar images that I think represent a small page (insert) added to the journal. In order to film it they obscure the page behind it so it is clear. You will likely find the rest of your record on the next image that will have been taken after moving the insert out of the way. It should show all of page 143 which is obscured on this image.

Hello Trish,
Here is a translation of the note at the bottom of the left-hand page:
Greiffenstein, on the 10th of August? ___? Johann Philipp Neuhard, son of Wilhelm Neuhard, was born.**
**Comment: The note is difficult to read, even enlarged. I think it says at the end "was born" rather than "was baptized".

Hello Trish,
try to enlarge the section and then get another screenshot.
I read (but am not absolutely sure):
Greiffenst[ein] den 10ten Aug[ust] soll Joh[ann] Philipp Neuhard, Wilh[elms] Sohn gebohren seÿn.
In English: Johann Philipp is supposed(!) to have been born on 10 Aug. Is his baptism mentioned on another page? Likely not - or the note would have been added there.
As mentioned already: go to the next image to see the page on right hand side - but I doubt the note will be continued there. Obviously, the note was added later … based on information where? Just hearsay?

I appreciate you assistance. Its good to have a father name. I have searched both pages before and after this notation with no further information that I felt was connected with the little German I understand. Thank you.
